Which experts are returning to MAFS 2026?
Married at First Sight Australia is back for another season on Channel Nine in 2026 and, along with it comes its famous expert panel – John Aiken, Mel Schilling, and Alessandra Rampolla will return as key guides through one of television’s most intense relationship experiments.
John Aiken, one of the longest-serving experts on this series, returns with his trademark straight-talking approach. A clinical psychologist with decades of experience, Aiken is well known for holding contestants accountable for their behavior and challenging unhealthy relationship patterns; often focused on emotional honesty and long-term compatibility, Aiken plays an instrumental role in providing contestants with advice that enhances emotional integrity and long-term compatibility.
Mel Schilling, a relationship coach and behavioral specialist, has returned. Specializing in communication styles, emotional triggers and conflict resolution techniques, Schilling helps couples better understand how their personal habits influence their relationships – often playing an instrumental role during commitment ceremonies.
Alessandra Rampolla rounds out their trio, as a certified clinical sexologist specializing in intimacy, attraction and physical connection between couples. Her supportive but candid guidance has proven essential in their experiment.
MAFS Australia experts are back, ready to guide participants through all of the emotional highs, dramatic lows and difficult decisions that define MAFS Australia.

John told the Daily Mail at the event that brides were “empowered and outspoken”, while Alessandra noted it was a particularly “feisty” group of women this season.
“What we wanted to accomplish this year was bring back some love into the workplace – and we certainly did that,” John noted.
“Love stories that we never expected to happen actually did. Others that seemed ideal on paper turned out differently entirely.” That unexpectedness is one of the hallmarks of great drama!
Mel stated that she couldn’t wait for viewers to meet all of the participants involved in her relationship experiment.
